How It All Began: The Story Behind PARQ Street

Scott Brown, founder of Parq Street Development Group, shares the journey that turned a simple moment of inspiration into a revolutionary Web3 hospitality venture.

Every big idea starts somewhere. For me, it was in my early thirties during a trip to London. I was sitting in the lobby of the Churchill, just taking it all in—the energy, the grandeur, the scale. I thought to myself:

“Someone owns this amazing hotel. I want to own a hotel like this one day.”

That moment never left me. It wasn’t about the size or the spectacle—it was about the possibility. That idea, that seed, would ultimately bloom into Parq Street Development Group.

I started my career in finance at Merrill Lynch in San Francisco during the first tech boom—a time that feels a lot like today’s blockchain revolution. It was fast-paced, exciting, and transformative. I spent the next decade building the skills and connections I needed. But I eventually left what many considered a dream job to chase an even bigger vision: creating a hotel development company that would build exceptional properties and deliver real, lasting value.

Over the last 20 years, Park Street has delivered over $1 billion in successful real estate projects. But I’ve always been someone who looks ahead. So, when the world started talking about blockchain, I knew there was an opportunity to do something nobody else had done before: bring luxury hospitality into the Web3 world.

“If we could combine real estate’s stability with blockchain’s innovation, we could open the doors to ownership in a way that’s never been done — democratized, transparent, and accessible. “

And this isn’t just an idea — it’s happening. We’re starting with Olabarri Palace in Bilbao, Spain. A 19th-century architectural gem that we’ll transform into a five-star boutique Hyatt Unbound Luxury Collection hotel. It’s a statement piece and the flagship of our Web3 luxury hotel portfolio. Next on the list is Tuscany National Resort & Club in Tuscany, Italy. A beautiful boutique hotel with golf villas, a spa, and an 18-hole Gary Player championship golf course, earmarked and set to be flagged as a Hyatt resort property.

These projects combine everything we’ve learned over two decades — hotel and resort development, hospitality expertise, and the ability to execute at the highest level. But more importantly, it’s a new chapter. With PARQ NFT, we’re inviting a global community to be part of this journey.

“This is about building something extraordinary — together.”
